A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the upcoming school year (August 26, 2025 - June 19, 2026) within a K-12 setting in Waterbury, CT. This contract role offers a Monday through Friday schedule with approximately 32 hours per week, focusing primarily on an elementary caseload of about 50 students.
Key responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and providing tailored speech and language therapy services to support student communication development across various educational settings. The role requires collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and to monitor student progress effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Department of Education (DOE) Certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- CCC-SLP credential preferred
- Experience in school-based settings working with children from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students efficiently
