Position Overview
The School-Based Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders that impact educational performance, supporting speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication development.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Active Virginia Speech Language Pathology License
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs)
Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply -
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
Knowledge of IEP development and special education regulations
-
Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting requirements
-
Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
-
School-based experience preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities

Conduct speech and language evaluations and interpret assessment results
-
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
-
Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings
-
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
-
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records
-
Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs
