An onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available in Hanceville, AL, supporting a diverse learning center caseload within a school setting. This contract position spans from ASAP through May 23rd, 2026, offering part-time hours four days per week from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
The caseload includes 49 students, primarily a high-needs group with many in fifth grade or below, alongside some high school students. The role requires delivering specialized speech and language services tailored to the unique needs of this varied student population.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Tracking and documenting student outcomes regularly
- Providing therapy interventions suited to students' specific communication disorders
Qualifications:
- Valid Alabama State License for Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings
- Ability to manage a large caseload efficiently and compassionately
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
This position is primarily onsite, with potential flexibility for partial virtual or hybrid arrangements based on individual circumstances. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom with the school director, providing a convenient and straightforward process.
