School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Springfield, Oregon
A full-time position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide leave coverage for the remainder of the academic year at a school setting in Eugene, OR. This role is on-site and part of a comprehensive Special Education Service Area that supports students with diverse needs, including those with moderate to severe disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and adjudicated at-risk youth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services directly to students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize augmentative communication systems (both low and high tech) as appropriate
- Maintain confidentiality and effective communication with all stakeholders
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to behavior consultation services as needed
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Valid Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communications Disorder Endorsement and/or Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-Speech) preferred
- Experience working with students with moderate and severe disabilities preferred
- Familiarity with augmentative communication systems
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- May require valid First Aid/CPR certification
