This full-time Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) opportunity offers leave coverage for the remainder of the school year in Eugene, OR. The position is based onsite within a special education setting that supports students with a range of abilities, including moderate and severe disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and adjudicated at-risk youth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication systems tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain confidentiality and professional communication at all times.
- Participate in service area activities focused on speech-language pathology, augmentative communication, and behavioral consultation.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communications Disorder Endorsement and/or State of Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-Speech) preferred.
- Experience working with students with moderate and severe disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with both low and high-tech augmentative communication systems preferred.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively.
- First Aid and CPR certification may be required.
