School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Spotsylvania, Virginia

Seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract opportunity supporting K-12 students in a collaborative school environment near Spotsylvania, VA. This full-time assignment covers two maternity leaves throughout the school year. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference as you help students reach their communication goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered
- Experience with school-aged populations and familiarity with IEP processes
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and students
- Flexibility to manage a K-12 caseload; please share your setting preferences
Role Details and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy, assessments, and intervention for students in grades K-12, tailoring approaches to individual needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in compliance with school guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely progress reports
- Adapt therapy and schedules to cover two separate maternity leaves:
- First leave: December/January start, return in early March
- Second leave: Mid-November start, ending after spring break (late March)
- Engage with a supportive team dedicated to student success
