Position Summary
A well-established school district in Spokane, Washington, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students across multiple grade levels. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to support students’ communication development and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify students’ communication needs.

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals.

Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.

Maintain detailed and timely documentation including assessment reports, progress notes, and IEP records.

Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional recommendations and support.

Provide training and resources to school staff to support communication strategies.

Stay current with best practices, research, and regulatory requirements related to speech-language pathology services in schools.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Valid Washington State SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.

Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred.

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and other relevant special education laws.

Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.

Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work independently.
