Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to students with communication disorders, supporting their academic and social development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and adolescents and dedicated to fostering effective communication skills within a school environment.
Responsibilities:

Administer speech and language screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify students’ communication needs.

Develop individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions aligned with students’ goals and educational requirements.

Deliver direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups across various age ranges and grade levels.

Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care and integration of therapy goals into daily activities.

Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations regarding speech and language services.

Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and compliance records.

Advocate for students’ communication needs and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.

Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology and educational best practices.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Current Washington State SLP license and eligibility to work in public schools.

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required.

Experience with pediatric populations in educational or clinical settings preferred.

Strong understanding of IDEA, state special education regulations, and related compliance requirements.

Effective communication skills with students, parents, and educational staff.

Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
