Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based services to students in the Spokane, Washington area (ZIP code 99208). This position offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on helping students develop essential communication skills for academic and social success.
Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students with communication disorders.

Develop and implement effective, individualized therapy plans that align with student goals and IEP requirements.

Deliver speech-language services to students in one-on-one, small group, or classroom settings.

Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data and observation.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, school psychologists, special educators, and other service providers.

Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development activities.

Provide training and support to staff on speech and language development, intervention strategies, and communication accommodations.

Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress notes, and IEP documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.

Current Washington State ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certificate or eligibility to obtain.

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates are also encouraged to apply.

Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP process, and best practices in school-based speech services.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build positive working relationships with students, families, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a K–12 school setting or with pediatric populations.

Familiarity with assistive and augmentative communication (AAC) tools.

Ability to provide bilingual services is a plus.

Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and digital IEP systems.
