Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based services to students in the Spokane, Washington area (ZIP code 99208). This position offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on helping students develop essential communication skills for academic and social success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students with communication disorders.

  • Develop and implement effective, individualized therapy plans that align with student goals and IEP requirements.

  • Deliver speech-language services to students in one-on-one, small group, or classroom settings.

  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data and observation.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, school psychologists, special educators, and other service providers.

  • Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development activities.

  • Provide training and support to staff on speech and language development, intervention strategies, and communication accommodations.

  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress notes, and IEP documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.

  • Current Washington State ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certificate or eligibility to obtain.

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates are also encouraged to apply.

  • Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP process, and best practices in school-based speech services.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to build positive working relationships with students, families, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a K–12 school setting or with pediatric populations.

  • Familiarity with assistive and augmentative communication (AAC) tools.

  • Ability to provide bilingual services is a plus.

  • Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and digital IEP systems.
