Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates are welcome to apply
- Previous experience in a school setting is ideal but not required
- Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders in children and adolescents
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ speech, language, voice, and fluency skills
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff and parents
- Provide direct therapy to students individually and in small groups, targeting communication goals that impact classroom success
- Maintain precise and timely records of progress and session outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary planning sessions, and professional development
- Serve as a resource to teachers and staff regarding speech and language development strategies
- Engage in ongoing collaboration with families to support students’ progress
