Two full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) contract opportunities are available to support maternity leave coverage at schools in Spartanburg, South Carolina. These positions provide valuable experience within public school settings, ideal for licensed SLPs specializing in pediatric speech and language disorders.
Assignment Details:
- Locations: Brushy Creek Elementary in Taylors, SC and Greenville Middle School in Greenville, SC for one assignment; the second assignment location is to be determined.
- Duration: August 11th, 2026 through November 3rd, 2026 (approximately 12 weeks), with potential additional pre-planning days before the start date.
- Schedule: Full-time at 37.5 hours per week.
- Caseload: To be determined based on school needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina SLP License.
- Valid South Carolina Educator Certificate (pending status considered).
- Previous experience working as a school-based SLP is highly preferred.
- Candidates with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with SLPA or SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status will not be considered.
- Virtual candidates will not be considered; this role requires onsite presence.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring to school-age children.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication needs.
- Manage and document caseloads in compliance with school district policies and federal regulations.
- Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student goal development.
