Position: Speech-Language Pathologist
Work Schedule: Full-Time | 35 Hours/Week
Setting: On-site K–12
School Year: 2025–2026
Are you a skilled school-based Speech-Language Pathologist looking for a setting that respects your time, values your professional judgment, and empowers you to do your best clinical work?
ProCare Therapy is partnering with a school district in Spanaway, WA that is actively hiring an experienced SLP for the upcoming school year. This opportunity is designed for clinicians who are looking for autonomy in therapy delivery, reasonable caseload sizes, and a clear, shared commitment to student outcomes over paperwork quotas.
This role is perfect for an experienced SLP who wants to step away from overly bureaucratic systems and instead focus on clinical quality, ethical care, and student-centered service delivery.
What You'll Take the Lead On:
-
Administering and interpreting speech and language assessments using a variety of validated tools
-
Setting functional, goal-oriented IEPs based on student needs, not templates
-
Delivering engaging and customized therapy sessions that reflect each student’s learning style
-
Collaborating with educators to integrate communication goals into daily classroom instruction
-
Providing consultative services and training to classroom teachers and support staff
-
Maintaining clear, timely records of sessions and progress that align with both best practices and compliance requirements
What This School Offers You:
-
A district-wide understanding that SLPs are not just "related service providers"—you are critical to student development
-
Reasonable caseloads to allow you time for high-quality therapy and planning
-
Freedom to design sessions based on student engagement and individual success—not just standard protocols
-
Mentorship and professional collaboration opportunities with other school-based SLPs and related service providers
-
Responsive leadership who understands IDEA, values staff input, and seeks to reduce administrative burden wherever possible
Qualifications:
-
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Washington state SLP license (or eligible)
-
ASHA CCCs required
-
At least 2–3 years of experience working in public or charter school systems
-
Strong working knowledge of IEP processes, timelines, and compliance requirements
