Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Smyrna, DE
Step into a rewarding school-based contract role delivering speech and language services to students for the 2026–2027 school year. As an on-site Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve their communication goals. Working full-time weekdays, you will provide direct therapy, conduct evaluations, support the IEP process, and ensure students have access to the resources they need to thrive.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Delaware SLP licensure (verification required with application)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
- Skilled in evaluation processes and IEP writing
- Familiarity with PowerSchool IEP or Data Service Center a plus
- Must provide own, reliable transportation
- SLPAs will not be considered for this role
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to assigned students
- Conduct formal evaluations and assessments as needed
- Write and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in meetings with educational staff and families
- Gather and document progress-monitoring data to support goals
- Maintain accurate, timely therapy notes and records
