Speech Therapist in Smyrna, DE
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an on-site school location in Wyoming, DE, for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves delivering comprehensive speech therapy services within a school setting, supporting students’ communication needs through individualized evaluations, therapy sessions, and IEP development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy services tailored to individual student needs
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations
- Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Attend IEP and interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate student support
- Collect and document progress monitoring data
- Complete detailed therapy notes in compliance with district policies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Delaware licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required
- Proven experience working as a school-based SLP
- Skilled in conducting evaluations and writing IEPs
- Familiarity with Data Service Center and PowerSchool IEP software preferred
- Effective communication and organizational skills
Additional Details:
- Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Candidates must provide confirmation of active Delaware licensure upon application
- This position does not consider Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Reliable transportation and availability to work on-site are essential
