Speech Pathology - Silver Spring, MD
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support for students in a K-12 school environment located in Silver Spring, Maryland. This contract position offers an opportunity to work directly with children who have diverse speech, language, and communication challenges, helping them achieve their academic and social potential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver both direct therapy and consultative services within the school setting
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and IEP teams to support student progress and communication strategies
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Maryland
- Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification or eligibility to obtain this credential
- Experience working in school or pediatric settings is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, educators, and families
Position Details:
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Caseload encompasses students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- On-site presence is required to provide hands-on support and therapy
