Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – Sherman, TX
Urgent Backfill – Immediate Start
ProCare Therapy is partnering with Sherman ISD to fill an immediate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position. This full-time, onsite role will cover a maternity leave and is expected to run from ASAP through late February or early March. The district is seeking an experienced SLPA who can quickly integrate into the team and provide consistent support to students receiving speech services.
Position Overview:
The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, serving a caseload primarily made up of secondary-level students. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and comfortable managing a school-based caseload while collaborating with other educators and support staff.

End Date: Late February / Early March (maternity leave coverage)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Caseload: Primarily secondary (middle and high school)

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct therapy services as outlined by the supervising SLP

Support implementation of IEP goals and communication plans

Collect data and maintain detailed documentation on student progress

Assist in developing materials and activities for therapy sessions

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success
Qualifications:

Active Texas SLPA license
-
Prior school-based or pediatric experience required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
