School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Louisville, Kentucky

A K-12 educational institution in Louisville, KY, is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide leave coverage for approximately 4 to 6 weeks. This contract position requires delivering specialized speech and language services to students in grades 3 and 4.
Location: Louisville, KY
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:30 PM (33.75 hours per week)
Duration: Leave coverage, approximately 4-6 weeks
Start Date: Immediate
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students requiring support
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to students’ needs
- Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of 45 to 50 students in grades 3 and 4
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation including session notes, progress reports, and IEP documentation
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches as necessary
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children ages 8-10 within a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education and speech-language services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with school staff and families
- Ability to manage a moderate caseload efficiently in a fast-paced environment
