Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Shelbyville, IN
Provide specialized speech-language services in a small, rural K-12 school setting located in Shelbyville, IN. The caseload primarily includes preschool through 5th-grade students, with a few at the junior and senior high levels, totaling around 60 students. Approximately half of the caseload involves students with language impairment (LI) or speech impairment (SI) only. This full-time contract position offers flexible scheduling options, including the possibility of a four-day workweek, with an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for preschool to 12th-grade students
- Deliver direct therapy services focusing on language and speech impairments
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with district and state requirements
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- State licensure as an SLP
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred but not mandatory
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time hours, with flexibility to work four days per week if preferred
- Position based in Shelbyville, Indiana
- Contract role for the current school year (CSY)
