School Speech and Language Pathologist | Hale Center, Texas
A full-semester contract opportunity is available in a K-12 school located in Hale Center, TX, for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA), and SLP Clinical Fellows (CFY). This position requires onsite presence and supervision for Clinical Fellows and SLPAs by an experienced onsite supervisor.
Location: Hale Center, Texas (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes from the West New Mexico border)
Job Term: January start through the end of the school year (EOSY)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to K-12 students within the school setting
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress
- Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as needed
- Receive and actively engage in supervision and mentorship to support clinical growth (for CFY and SLPA roles)
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas licensure or certification in speech-language pathology or as an SLPA
- Clinical Fellowship Year candidates (SLP – CFY) welcomed, with supervision provided onsite
- Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to manage caseload effectively (caseload details to be provided within 24-48 hours)
Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 to 40 hours per week
