School Speech Therapist | Semmes, Alabama
A Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) position is available to serve K–12 students across two schools in the Semmes, AL area. This contract opportunity involves providing assessment and therapy services for children ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities: • Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting for student success
Qualifications and Experience: • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology required • Registration with the Alabama Board of Speech Examiners is mandatory • Experience working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade preferred • Ability to work on-site within assigned schools • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and school staff • Prior school-based SLP experience is highly desirable
Location: Semmes, AL
Schedule: 35 hours per week, school calendar based contract from March 2025 through May 29, 2026
