A Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) is sought for a temporary contract position within a K-12 school district serving students in grades 6-8. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about supporting middle school-aged students in their communication development.

Location: San Antonio, TX
Start Date: March 31, 2026
End Date: May 29, 2026
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week
Assignment: Itinerant position serving two middle schools: Garner Middle School and Wood Middle School
Caseload: Approximately 100 students (Grades 6-8)
Position Type: Maternity leave coverage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and screenings
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Valid professional license to practice in the state
  • Ability to work effectively across two school locations (itinerant role)
  • Experience with middle school-aged students (preferred)
  • Successful completion of a fingerprinting/background check
