School Speech and Language Pathologist | Converse, Texas
A Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) is needed for a maternity leave contract position supporting two middle schools located in San Antonio, TX. This itinerant role serves students in grades 6-8 and manages a caseload of approximately 100 students. The position offers part-time hours, around 30 per week, and requires the candidate to split time between Garner Middle School and Wood Middle School.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Professional Speech Language Pathologist license
- Eligibility to complete fingerprinting and background checks
- Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
- 0-10+ years of school-based SLP experience; pay rate commensurate with experience
Location:
- San Antonio, TX (servicing Garner Middle School and Wood Middle School)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to K-12 students with communication disorders
- Conduct assessments to develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district policies
- Provide itinerant services across both assigned campuses
