Speech and Language Pathologist - Scranton, PA
A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support school-based services in Scranton, PA. This role involves providing essential speech and language therapy to students within the educational setting to promote communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Deliver direct therapy services focusing on speech, language, fluency, and related communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support students’ communication goals.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide professional recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience working in school settings is highly preferred.
