A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 setting located in Scranton, PA. This contract role is for the current school year with a start date of June 9, 2026. The position is part-time at 30 hours per week, spread over four days.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering speech-language therapy targeting a range of student needs such as assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive and expressive language delays.
- Conducting diagnostic and evaluation testing aligned with student needs.
- Producing clear, thorough reports based on assessments and observations.
- Working confidently with students ages 2 to 22 who may have moderate to severe disabilities.
- Developing and maintaining Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives.
- Collaborating and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues to monitor progress and identify areas for support.
Desired qualifications and skills:
- Experience and credentials as an SLP, including completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Proven ability to support students in a school-based environment.
- Strong reporting and assessment capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration with families and educational teams.
