Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Maternity Leave| Near Scranton, PA
Location: Lackawanna County, PA (Assignments across multiple schools)
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract
Hours: 35 hours/week
Dates: Mid-October 2025 – August 7, 2026
Setting: Onsite
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and reliable School Speech-Language Pathologist for a unique full-time contract role in Lackawanna County. This position offers variety and the opportunity to make a broad impact. The successful candidate will begin by providing maternity leave coverage at a school within the county and will transition in the spring to serving an itinerant caseload of students in the Dunmore, PA area. Reliable personal transportation is required for travel between school sites.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across multiple school assignments.

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments.

Develop, implement, and monitor progress toward IEP goals.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district regulations.

Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and school-based teams.
Schedule & Caseload:

Fall 2025: Cover a maternity leave assignment at a school in Lackawanna County.

Spring 2026: Transition to serving an itinerant caseload of students across multiple schools in the Dunmore, PA area.
Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Active PA State SLP License.

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).

Valid PA Clearances (or ability to obtain them promptly).

Prior school-based experience.

Reliable personal transportation for travel between school sites.
