School Speech Language Pathologist - Schertz, Texas
A contract position is available for a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support services within multiple school campuses located in San Antonio, TX. This opportunity involves working directly with K-12 students, supporting their communication needs, and collaborating closely with educational teams to enhance speech and language development.
Responsibilities include conducting thorough speech and language evaluations, preparing and participating in ARD meetings, supervising Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-As), and providing additional testing support as required. The caseload will generally range from 80 to 100 students per SLP, with support from SLP-As, ensuring comprehensive care and attention to each student’s progress.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Texas Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Ability to be bilingual is advantageous but not required
- Experience working with school-age children (K-12)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities within a school setting
- Previous experience in school-based caseload management preferred
Location: On-site positions across three school campuses in San Antonio, TX, including elementary through high school levels.
