Speech Language Pathologist in Helotes, TX

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in San Antonio, TX, providing support to K-12 students across three school locations. This contract role requires delivering comprehensive speech and language services in diverse educational settings, with a caseload of approximately 80-100 students per clinician, supported by Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assess speech and language needs for students aged K-12.
- Prepare for and actively participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings.
- Supervise and support the work of SLPAs.
- Provide additional testing and support as required by students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state guidelines.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Texas SLP license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- ASHA certification preferred for candidates with clinical hours logged.
- Experience working in school settings, ideally with caseloads similar in size.
- Both bilingual and monolingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Job Details:
- Location: San Antonio, TX (serving three schools including Young Women’s Leadership Academy and Charles August Arnold Elementary).
- Contract Duration: ASAP through May 29, 2026.
- Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Compensation varies based on experience.
