What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across elementary and secondary levels
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders
  • Provide direct therapy services through individual and group sessions in school-based settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication goals into educational programming
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insights to communication-based educational planning
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff on communication strategies and classroom accommodations
  • Monitor student progress through systematic data collection and adjust intervention approaches as needed
  • Support students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and assistive technology
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations
  • Provide screening services and early intervention recommendations

Required Qualifications

  • Active Georgia Speech Language Pathology License (required - must be on hand)
  • Active Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) Certification (required - must be on hand)
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric communication disorders and evidence-based interventions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
  • Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Understanding of special education laws and IEP processes
