A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for middle school support within a public school district in the Bradenton, FL area. This contract role will primarily serve one middle school with a newly rebuilt facility, offering a modern, well-equipped office environment. The position supports approximately 60 students, including those in a self-contained/cluster program specializing in Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities (EBD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to middle school students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to intervention strategies for student success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Florida SLP license required.
- Candidates with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered.
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) accepted for this role.
- Experience working with middle school-aged children, particularly in special education or EBD settings, is highly valued.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
