SLP in Riverview, FL
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year within a K-12 setting located in Bradenton, FL. This contract position offers the chance to provide specialized speech and language services to students across multiple schools within the district, with assignments spanning from elementary to middle school age groups.
Assignment Details:
- Locations: Sugg Middle School, Blackburn Elementary, and Abel or Abel/Tillman Elementary Schools
- Start/End Dates:
- Sugg Middle School: January through May 28, 2026
- Blackburn Elementary: Immediate start through April 2026 (maternity leave coverage)
- Abel/Tillman: March through May 28, 2026
- Caseload: Approximate caseload of 60 students at Sugg Middle School, including a self-contained/cluster program for Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). Blackburn Elementary will have collaborative support with another full-time SLP and a part-time SLPA.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations and intervention services tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with educational teams, parents, and specialists to support students’ communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state standards.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Florida SLP license or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate status.
- Experience working within a school setting preferred.
- Ability to work full-time onsite, supporting students directly at assigned schools.
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) positions available; candidates must be licensed or in CFY.
