Pediatric School-Based SLP | Paso Robles, California
A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a maternity leave assignment from October to mid-December 2025, with work concluding at winter break. The role is based on-site in San Luis Obispo, CA, serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade on a 21-hour weekly schedule, typically spread over three days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students with diverse disabilities
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of a valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
- Experience working with school-age populations in educational settings
- Strong skills in delivering evaluations and therapy services aligned with IEP goals
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and effectively communicate with students, families, and staff
Location: San Luis Obispo, CA (on-site position)
This contracted assignment offers the opportunity to support students during a critical temporary period while gaining valuable experience in a school environment.
