Virtual Speech Language Pathologist - Full-Time Remote | Santa Fe, NM

Santa Fe, NM
Soliant Health Schools - SLP Contract Today Apply

VocoVision provides comprehensive virtual therapy services connecting schools with licensed professionals across specialties. Our speech-language pathology team serves students remotely through innovative teletherapy that maintains the quality and effectiveness of traditional in-person services while offering flexibility and expanded access. We're seeking experienced SLPs to join our network providing speech and language intervention to K-12 students in virtual learning environments.

Typical remote SLP positions involve full-time caseloads of approximately 40-60 students across grade levels from kindergarten through high school. Weekly schedules average 35-37.5 hours encompassing direct therapy, evaluation activities, IEP participation, family communication, team collaboration, and documentation. The virtual format allows you to work from home while serving students who might otherwise lack access to speech services due to therapist shortages or geographic limitations. Teletherapy platforms provide interactive features, digital materials, and engaging activities that facilitate effective intervention for various communication disorders.

Responsibilities and Expectations

Your primary function involves delivering speech-language therapy addressing each student's unique communication needs through individualized or small group sessions. Therapy targets may include articulation accuracy, phonological patterns, receptive language comprehension, expressive language formulation, vocabulary development, grammar and syntax, narrative skills, fluency, voice quality, or pragmatic social communication. You'll conduct thorough evaluations when students are referred for potential speech services, administering appropriate assessments, gathering background information, observing communication in context, and synthesizing findings into comprehensive reports. Based on evaluation results, you'll determine eligibility for services and develop appropriate IEP goals that address priority communication needs and support academic success. Ongoing progress monitoring through systematic data collection informs treatment decisions and demonstrates goal achievement. Collaboration with teachers helps integrate communication strategies into daily instruction. Regular family communication builds partnerships supporting student progress. Professional documentation including therapy notes, progress reports, evaluation reports, and IEP paperwork must meet compliance standards and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in New Mexico with current, active credential in good standing. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA. Master's degree from accredited program in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders. Minimum two years professional experience delivering speech-language services in school settings with K-12 populations. Demonstrated competence across communication disorder areas and age ranges. Proficiency with technology including video conferencing platforms, digital therapy tools, electronic documentation systems, and virtual assessment materials. Reliable high-speed internet connection capable of supporting video therapy sessions. Professional home workspace with appropriate privacy, lighting, and minimal distractions. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities. Solid organizational skills for managing caseload, scheduling, and multiple responsibilities.

Additional Valued Qualifications: Experience with teletherapy or virtual service models, familiarity with online therapy materials and resources, specialized training or certifications, bilingual communication abilities.
