Position Overview
- Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Caseload: K-12 students (approximately 44)

- Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Key Responsibilities
As our SLP, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to accurately identify communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating closely with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy services addressing a wide range of communication needs, including articulation, phonology, language, fluency, voice, and social communication.
- Monitor student progress, maintain meticulous documentation, and update IEPs as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, case conferences, and other relevant school discussions.
- Foster strong partnerships with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and enhance student achievement.
- Offer valuable guidance and resources to staff and families regarding communication disorders.
- Ensure all practices adhere to state and federal regulations by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or an equivalent from an accredited program.
- A valid New Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board and the New Mexico Public Education Department (or eligibility for licensure).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is highly preferred.
- Prior experience working with K-12 school-aged students, particularly within a school setting, is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention strategies.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong familiarity with IEP processes and special education procedures.
