Position Details and Time Requirements This full-time virtual role requires 35-40 hours per week providing comprehensive speech therapy services to students across elementary through high school grade levels. You'll manage a diverse caseload of approximately 40-50 students with mixed communication disorders, conducting individual and group therapy sessions that combine traditional therapeutic techniques with innovative digital tools and platforms.
Caseload Characteristics and Student Demographics Your caseload will encompass students with articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, pragmatic language challenges, and fluency disorders. You'll serve students who are primarily motivated learners who respond well to virtual intervention approaches, while also working with students requiring more intensive support and specialized communication strategies. The diverse student population includes both monolingual and bilingual students from various cultural backgrounds.
Essential Clinical Functions
  • Perform virtual speech-language assessments using evidence-based evaluation protocols
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans targeting specific student IEP objectives
  • Provide direct virtual therapy services using interactive digital platforms and materials
  • Collaborate with educational teams, families, and related service providers
  • Maintain thorough clinical documentation and progress monitoring records
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and IEP development conferences
  • Offer consultation services to teachers and educational support personnel
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal special education compliance requirements
Professional Qualifications and Experience
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from accredited program
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid New Mexico speech-language pathology licensure
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric/school clinical experience
  • Telepractice experience preferred but comprehensive training provided
  • Bilingual Spanish abilities highly valued but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive therapeutic practices
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities
