Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Salinas, CA
This full-time Speech-Language Pathology position offers an opportunity to provide essential services within a K-12 school setting in Gilroy, CA. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech and language support with a caseload model, involving both direct and indirect therapy. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, requiring flexibility to serve multiple schools with some itinerant duties including paid travel time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions to K-12 students
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and track student progress
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services aligned with best practices in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district protocols
- Travel between assigned school locations as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) License or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
- Open to highly capable Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates interested in school-based practice
- Experience or interest in pediatric speech-language services and teletherapy is a plus
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work independently across multiple sites
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Work Schedule and Location:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (typically 8 hours daily with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Positions located within Gilroy, CA public schools, with travel between multiple school sites required
