School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Santa Clara, California
Embark on a highly impactful contract role providing vital speech-language pathology services within an educational setting near Santa Clara, CA. This opportunity allows you to deliver direct support to elementary and preschool students during the start of the upcoming school year, ensuring every child’s communication needs are met while working alongside a dedicated and welcoming school community.
In this role, your expertise will help bridge the gap as added support for existing SLP teams, with a focus on caseload overflow and assessments. You’ll work part-time at Braly Elementary (mid to moderate needs) and part-time at Briarwood Elementary (general education and preschool), with a single, consistent school assignment each day.
What we’re seeking:
- SLP with CCC credentials highly desirable; California licensure is preferred.
- Experience supporting K-5 and/or preschool populations in schools.
- Demonstrated competence in both assessment procedures and delivering therapy.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills for working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Adaptability and flexibility in moving between sites and supporting varying caseloads.
- Commitment to providing exceptional support and maintaining student-centered services.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments.
- Deliver direct therapy to students as assigned.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and support teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain compliance with IEP and district requirements.
- Support caseload overflow to ensure no student is left without needed services.
