Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Santa Clara, CA
Make a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting elementary and preschool sites near Santa Clara, CA. This contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with children in need of specialized support, providing additional assistance to help schools manage larger caseloads. This assignment is scheduled to begin September 25, 2026, and will continue until the district fills the position internally.
This position will have you rotating between two school sites: one part-time at an elementary school (serving students with mid to moderate needs), and one part-time at another area site (supporting general education and preschool students). You’ll have the unique opportunity to provide vital therapy and assessment services, but you will not serve as the main SLP at either location—rather, your focus will be on supplementing existing staff. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with each day spent at a single campus (though the site will vary throughout the week).
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred
- Experience in a school setting, supporting elementary and/or preschool populations
- Strong skills in assessment and therapy for a range of student needs
- Adaptability to work across different environments each week
- Active state SLP license preferred by the district, though not required
- Excellent communication with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide supplemental speech and language therapy services
- Conduct assessments to support overload, as assigned by district staff
- Collaborate with school teams for effective service delivery
- Maintain accurate records in alignment with district standards
