School Speech and Language Pathologist | San Francisco, California
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication/Assistive Technology (AAC/AT) is sought for a contract position serving K-12 students with extensive special needs. This role will support students from Kindergarten through middle school across three classrooms located at two different school sites in San Francisco, CA. The assignment starts with compensatory time to be made up at the beginning of the school year. Following this period, the schedule will reduce to 2.5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized speech-language services focusing on AAC/AT to students with complex communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to implement individualized education plans.
- Assess, develop, and monitor students’ communication goals and progress.
- Deliver direct therapy services in classroom and small group settings.
- Manage caseload effectively across two school locations.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC).
- Experience working in K-12 school environments with students with special needs.
- Proven expertise in AAC/AT strategies and technologies.
- Ability to travel between two school sites within San Francisco.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration and family engagement.
