Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - San Luis Obispo, California
Located in San Luis Obispo, CA, this part-time Speech-Language Pathology contract position supports students from Pre-K through 12th grade in a K-12 school setting. The role is designed to cover a maternity leave beginning in October through mid-December 2025, concluding at winter break. This opportunity involves providing on-site services for approximately 21 hours per week, distributed over three days.
Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, participating in IEP meetings, delivering direct and indirect speech-language services, and supporting a caseload with a variety of disabilities. The position requires excellent communication and organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively and collaborate with educational teams.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing certification
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school-based or healthcare settings
- Knowledge of school-based speech therapy practices and IEP processes
- Skills in teletherapy are a plus, though this role is on-site only
- Ability to work effectively with students across multiple age groups and disability types
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
