School Speech Pathology | Redwood City, California
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Redwood City, CA, serving an elementary school environment with students from Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade. This contract role begins January 26, 2025, and continues through the end of the school year. The role offers a part-time schedule with 18.25 hours per week spread over 2.5 days, providing specialized support to 26-28 students on the caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to TK-6th-grade students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals.
- Document and maintain accurate records of student progress and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions that address diverse communication disorders within a school setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) strongly preferred.
- Experience working as an SLP in schools is highly desirable.
- Ability to engage and support children across early childhood and elementary school age groups.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
