Travel School-Based SLP | San Francisco, California
A dynamic opportunity exists for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support student communication development within a large urban school district in San Francisco, CA. This role involves providing direct speech services across a diverse range of students aged from early childhood through transition stages. Candidates with strong clinical skills and a passion for working in educational settings are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in a K-12 public school environment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families.
- Manage caseloads that may include students across various age groups, from early childhood to transition.
- Provide documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- For Clinical Fellows (CFs), supervision will be arranged as required.
- Work onsite at assigned schools within San Francisco; this position is not eligible for virtual or hybrid work.
- Flexibility to travel to multiple school sites within the district.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), State of California.
- Clear or Professional Speech Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) preferred but not mandatory.
- Eligibility for services provision under California law (5 CCR §3051.1).
- Fluency in additional languages is strongly preferred to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
- Experience working in school settings and knowledge of educational speech therapy best practices is advantageous.
- Clinical Fellows are welcomed with supervision provided.
