Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - San Francisco, California
A California-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a contract position at an elementary school serving grades K-5. This role involves providing speech therapy services to a caseload of approximately 15-20 students, supporting their communication development within an inclusive school environment. The assignment is based in Emeryville, CA, with work hours ranging from 20 to 30 hours per week for the current school year, starting as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year.
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and delivering individualized speech-language therapy to students, collaborating with educators and support staff, and documenting student progress. Supervision will be provided by district personnel, such as paraprofessionals or related support staff, to assist in caseload management.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP-CCC required)
- Experience working in elementary school settings, preferably with K-5 students
- Ability to manage a caseload of 15-20 students with diverse speech and language needs
- Strong collaboration skills with educators and support teams
- Familiarity with school-based documentation and compliance requirements
The selection process includes a remote panel interview conducted via Zoom. Fingerprinting and a signed contract will be required prior to starting. Training will be provided upon onboarding, and collaboration with other contractors in the district is expected.
