Job Overview
This is a full-time, school-based travel role with a San Diego-area district. You’ll provide direct therapy services, collaborate with families and educators, and help students reach their communication goals. Assignments typically follow the academic calendar, with opportunities for extension or reassignment.
What Does a Travel Contract Mean?
Travel SLP contracts are temporary assignments, typically lasting for a school semester or full academic year. These roles allow you to bring your skills to districts in need, while enjoying non-taxed housing and meal stipends, competitive pay, and the opportunity to explore a new city. Contracts may be extended or renewed, and when one ends, you can choose a new location for your next adventure.
Responsibilities

Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations in alignment with district guidelines.

Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to student needs.

Deliver therapy in individual and group settings.

Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation.

Collaborate with teachers and parents to promote communication outcomes.

Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions.
Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

California SLP licensure (or eligibility prior to start).

CCC-SLP preferred; CFY applicants welcome.

School-based or pediatric experience a plus.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
