San Diego, CA: School Speech-Language Pathologist
Calling on Clinical Fellows or ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologists who want to work in school settings, and want to try their hands at a travel contract. Soliant has partnered with a school district in San Diego, CA and is seeking applicants for this school year.
How does one qualify as a traveler?
- Will you be arranging temporary housing during the school year?
- Will you be commuting 75+ miles to work?
If so, you qualify for housing and/or meals and incidentals stipends!
We are working on multiple openings, and seeking either part- or full-time candidates. Applicants will be covering elementary schools, and deal with a range of students with speech and language needs, from General education populations or students with moderate-severe disabilities.
As a schools-based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
- Evaluate new referrals on their communication abilities and determine student eligibility for speech services
- Develop Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals, and make recommendations for speech services
- Re-evaluate students on a periodic basis, and updating IEP goals if needed
- Conduct meetings and complete reports as part of the referral or dismissal process for speech students
- Document services service logs, treatment notes, and track student progress with a mix of observations or testing data
We seek applicants with the following competencies:
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organization, time management, and the ability to prioritize in a manner consistent with department guidelines
- Flexibility and the ability to foster a collegial work environment
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
- SLP license from the California Board of Speech-Language Pathology
