Now Hiring: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) | Monterey, CA

San Ardo, CA
Procare Schools - SLP Contract Today Apply

Full-Time | School-Based | Supportive District | Immediate Start through June 6, 2026

Your Next Opportunity Starts Here

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a deeply committed and student-centered school district in Monterey, California. This full-time position begins as soon as possible and will run through June 6, 2026, with flexible options available for professionals seeking shorter contract durations.

Whether you're an experienced, ASHA-certified clinician (CCC) or a recent graduate looking for a Clinical Fellowship (CFY) opportunity, this district offers the structure, resources, and mentorship to support your professional growth. You'll become part of a team that believes every student deserves the tools to communicate effectively — and that every therapist deserves a team behind them.

This isn’t just another school job. It’s an opportunity to practice your craft in a setting that values your expertise, gives you the tools to succeed, and offers the coastal lifestyle and beauty of Monterey. If you’re ready to work in an environment where your work is respected, your contributions are meaningful, and your professional development is actively encouraged, we’d love to hear from you.

  • End Date: June 6, 2026

  • Caseload: Elementary Students (K–5)

Why Join This District?

An Empowering Environment for Therapists

This is not a “sink or swim” setting. You’ll be walking into a district that intentionally invests in its SLPs — with strong leadership, built-in collaboration time, and access to mentorship and guidance. You will never have to chase materials, scramble for space, or advocate alone for your students’ needs. Everything is in place to help you focus on your core mission: helping students find their voice.

Materials & Tools Provided

All assessment kits, therapy tools, instructional resources, and supplies are provided for you. The district ensures that SLPs are fully equipped from day one — including digital resources for documentation and progress tracking. This isn’t just a promise; it’s a priority.

Thoughtful Caseload Design

Your caseload will be capped at no more than 35–40 elementary students, all with mild to moderate needs. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with students in a way that allows for high-impact, individualized interventions, rather than feeling overwhelmed with volume or severity. The goal here is quality, not quantity.

CFYs Welcome & Supported

We are proud to welcome Clinical Fellows to apply. You will be matched with a qualified and committed supervisor who will walk with you throughout your CFY year, helping ensure a smooth transition from graduate student to licensed clinician. Supervision is included at no cost to you.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with the IEP team

  • Provide individual and small-group speech and language therapy sessions

  • Track data, assess student progress, and update goals as needed

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, psychologists, and special education teams to support generalization and carryover

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professionally and positively to team planning

  • Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with district and state requirements

  • Engage in ongoing communication with families and staff regarding progress, recommendations, and strategies

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

  • Valid or pending California SLP license

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but not required

  • Clinical Fellows (CFY) are strongly encouraged to apply

  • School-based experience is a plus, though not mandatory

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation package that includes:

  • Guaranteed full-time weekly hours (37.5)

  • Competitive hourly or salaried pay

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) plan with employer matching

  • Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and professional development

  • Relocation assistance (if applicable)

  • Weekly direct deposit

  • Free supervision for CFY candidates

  • Dedicated support team throughout your contract
