Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school-based environment, especially at the elementary and middle school levels
- Expertise in evaluation, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for a range of communication disorders
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability to work closely with teachers, administrators, and families
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique goals
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, including evaluation reports and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with other school professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Educate and inform families and staff about students’ progress and recommended communication strategies
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusivity and student-centered practices
