This full-time contract position for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is based in San Antonio, TX, supporting students in grades 6-8 across two middle school campuses. The role is itinerant between the assigned schools, providing speech and language services to approximately 100 students. This is a maternity leave coverage position with a projected start date in early April.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to middle school students (grades 6-8)
- Manage an itinerant caseload split between two campuses
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports following professional and school district standards
- Participate in school meetings and provide support as needed for students’ communication needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid professional license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) required; current license image must be submitted
- 0-10+ years of school-based SLP experience, with compensation commensurate with experience
- Successful completion of fingerprinting/background check prior to onboarding
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work flexibly in an itinerant role between two school sites
Location:
- San Antonio, TX (itinerant between two middle schools)
Contract Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract period: April 1 through May 22 (maternity leave coverage)
- Onboarding to be completed by March 30, with a projected start date of April 6
Schedule and Assessment:
- Prescreen interviews conducted to ensure suitability; candidates should be available for interviews between 9-11 AM or 2-3 PM EST, with some schedule flexibility
