A Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) is sought for a part-time, maternity leave coverage position serving grades 6-8 in a K-12 school setting. This itinerant role requires travel between two middle schools in San Antonio, TX, supporting approximately 100 students with speech and language needs.
Location: San Antonio, TX
Assignment Duration: March 31, 2026 – May 29, 2026
Hours: Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week
Setting: Itinerant between two campuses: Garner Middle School and Wood Middle School
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations, therapy, and support to students in grades 6-8
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports related to student services
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs in an itinerant capacity
- Complete all required credentialing and background checks prior to start
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current professional license as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with middle school populations
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 100 students across two campuses
- Comfortable performing itinerant duties and traveling between assigned schools
- Successful completion of fingerprinting and background checks
