Requirements & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders required
- Active Texas state Speech Language Pathologist licensure required
- Note: NOT accepting Clinical Fellows (CF) for this position
- Note: NOT accepting Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills for diverse communication disorders
- Knowledge of school-based speech language pathology practices
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational teams
- Commitment to full-time, on-site employment (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday)
- Availability for immediate start through May 22, 2026
Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary students at one assigned school
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
- Participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings and collaborate with school teams
- Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs
- Work collaboratively with assigned mentor and on-site provider support
- Collaborate with principal (who has CSD degree and speech background)
- Engage with district leadership for ongoing preparation and support
- Provide consultation services to teachers and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress records
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Work on-site Monday through Friday at elementary school off I-30
