Full Time School Speech Therapist Job | 2024-2025 | Near San Antonio
San Antonio, TX
Sunbelt Staffing, a leading education and healthcare staffing agency, has partnered with a school district near San Antonio and is currently seeking qualified Speech-Language Pathologist's (SLPs) to join our team and provide exceptional services to a school district. This is a contract position for the upcoming academic year, offering a great opportunity to work with a supportive team of professionals and make a positive impact on the lives of students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement strategies to support student progress
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in accordance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Communication Disorders or similar from an accredited program
- Current Texas state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is strongly preferred
- Minimum of two years of school based experience is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
